Description
BUSH TUCKER DESIGN – Brown
Artist – Julie Nabangardi Shedden
We could jokingly refer to this painting as an Aboriginal Cook Book. In the centre are three people sitting at their campfire. They have digging stick and coolamons at their side showing that they are females. They are probably talking of the various foods available in the surrounding lands. The honey ants, small lizards, snakes and witchery grubs are all shown, along with some bush fruits. The footprints wandering through the paintings show the women as gatherers of these foods. The original painting is circular in form and is available as a Bulurru art panel.
Also available in Blue.
