Welcome to Country

An Acknowledgement of Country is a way for individuals and organizations to show respect for the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land where they are meeting or holding an event. It’s a public statement recognizing the continuing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to their land, and can be delivered by anyone, Indigenous or non-Indigenous.
